Wetlands trails at new sewer plant to open Friday

<p>A walking trail around Petaluma’s new sewer treatment plant will open Friday, July 31, adding almost three miles of public access to the wetlands area south of town.</p><!-- Nothing to do. The paragraph has already been output --><p>The trail begins at the south end of the Shollenberger Park loop, and when opened, will create an 8-mile round trip for walkers who start at the Sheraton hotel entrance to Alman Marsh.</p><p>The trail, which will open the same day as the Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility, will be open from dawn to dusk every day.</p><p>The address is 3890 Cypress Drive, off the South McDowell Boulevard extension.</p><p>— Argus-Courier</p>
