Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently.

Further information on some cases was not immediately available and is indicated by the acronym INA (information not available).

The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving.

People who are later found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

MONDAY, SEPT. 28

10:02 a.m. — Police received a report of elder abuse. INA.

10:41 a.m. — Police took a report of a petty theft on North McDowell Boulevard. INA.

3:05 p.m. — Anthony K. Juries, 28, of South McDowell Boulevard was arrested at his residence for burglary and receiving stolen property.

3:31 p.m. — A petty theft on Redwood Way was reported to police. INA.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 27

6:57 p.m. — A vehicle was stolen from Pearce Street.

8:04 p.m. — George E. Martenson, 61, of Petaluma was arrested for domestic violence.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 26

5:49 p.m. — Justin J. Ballantyne, 24, of Lancaster Drive was arrested at his residence for possession of marijuana, felony probation violation and on a misdemeanor warrant.

7:56 p.m. — Roberto F. Vasquez, 32, of Greenbriar Circle was arrested on Maria Drive at Park Lane for giving false identification to police officers, DUI and misdemeanor violation of probation.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 25

3:37 p.m. — Police received a report of a minor-injury traffic accident on North McDowell Boulevard.

4:34 p.m. — Michael L. Galindo, 30, of San Jose was arrested on southbound Highway 101 at the Sonoma/Marin county line for possession of marijuana for sale, transporting marijuana for sale and conspiracy to commit a crime.

4:53 p.m. — Police took a report of a minor-injury traffic accident on East D Street at Lakeville Street.

5:16 p.m. — Police received a report of marijuana distribution on Cypress Drive. INA.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 24

2:12 a.m. — Police received a report of an indecent exposure on Colombard Road.

12:55 p.m. — Police took a report of a forgery on North McDowell Boulevard. INA.

7:33 p.m. — Joe R. Gonzales, 20, of Novato was arrested on Redwood Highway for possession of marijuana for sale and on a warrant.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 23

5:52 a.m. — George A. Reis, 18, of St. Francis Drive was arrested at his residence on a felony warrant.

10:32 a.m. — Police received a report of a domestic disturbance.

5:29 p.m. — An accident on East Madison Street at North McDowell Boulevard required an ambulance.

7:42 p.m. — Jose J. Varelas, 35, of Napa was arrested on Lakeville Highway for possession of narcotics. A 38-year-old Gilroy man was arrested for being an unlicensed driver.

11:15 p.m. — Craig S. Elster, 26, of Huntington Beach was arrested on Petaluma Boulevard South for possession of narcotics for sale.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 22

8:52 a.m. — Raudel Trevizo, 39, of Fortuna was arrested on Montero Way for transportation of marijuana for sale, displaying false proof of registration and on a misdemeanor warrant.

8:58 a.m. — Jeffrey G. Madill, 43, of Fairfield was arrested on North McDowell Boulevard for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, having no proof of insurance and on a misdemeanor warrant.

2:18 p.m. — Police received a report of a petty theft on F Street. INA.

5:44 p.m. — John R. Moore, 21, of Nora Lane was arrested on Berrydale Drive for false imprisonment, robbery, burglary and violation of probation.

8:15 p.m. — A 17-year-old San Jose boy was arrested on the northbound East Washington Street onramp for possession of narcotics for sale, giving false information to a police officer and being an unlicensed driver.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 15

3:33 p.m. — Gang graffiti was painted on the fences and buildings at Carter Field on Kenilworth Drive.

MONDAY, SEPT. 14

3:13 p.m. — A juvenile was arrested for battery following a fight on Casa Grande Road.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 13

9:37 a.m. — A male juvenile was arrested after he entered an unlocked residence on Westbury Court and took a camera and iPod. The items were later returned to the owner.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 11

8:31 a.m. — A computer valued at $1,000 was stolen from Kenilworth Junior High School.
