Assemblymember Jared Huffman, D-San Rafael, presented his September Sustainable North Bay Award to Green String Farm in Petaluma.
This 140-acre farm, with 50-60 acres of produce, practices sustainable farming by making every effort to reduce soil erosion, pesticide dependency, loss of biodiversity, and other harmful ecological impacts.
Assemblymember Huffman toured the farm on Sept. 16 and presented the Sustainable North Bay Award to Green String Farms co-owner Bobby Canard.
