New Petaluma Transit schedules are in effect that will make it easier for junior high and high school students to ride the bus to and from school, the city has announced.
Bus schedules have been tailored to meet the “bell times” at local secondary schools, the public works department said, and “cheat sheets” for student riders explain which routes serve which neighborhoods and schools.
Ridership has been strong since classes began in August, but there is room for more students, transit manager Joe Rye said.
Bus passes are available at the Petaluma City Schools district office and at Petaluma and Kenilworth junior high schools, the city said.
More information on bus service is available online at transit.cityofpetaluma.net or by calling 778-4460.
