New artwork at Live Oak

<p>There’s a new work of art gracing the campus of Live Oak Charter School.</p><!-- Nothing to do. The paragraph has already been output --><p>The “Aztec Angel” sculpture was created by Sonoma Mountain artist Mary Fuller, who is known for her lion sculptures at the Petaluma Library.</p><p>“I chose the Aztec theme to draw attention to the importance of earlier cultures, and to challenge the modern tendency to become inflated with the importance of our own,” said Fuller.</p><p>A ribbon-cutting event last week included a presentation by Fuller, a tour of the school classrooms and the opportunity to speak with Fuller.</p><p>Live Oak Charter is a K-8 Waldorf-inspired public charter school located on the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds, 175 Fairgrounds Drive.</p><p>— Argus-Courier</p>
