Petaluma's ‘Fab 5' strong in huge tournament

<p>Petaluma's “Fab 5” girls wrestling team gave an excellent account for itself in the California Invitational Tournament.</p><!-- Nothing to do. The paragraph has already been output --><p>The tournament is one of the biggest girls tournaments in the state.</p><p>Petaluma, with just four healthy wrestlers, finished 29th out of 147 teams. More than 400 girls competed in the tournament.</p><p>“We definitely left a purple mark on the mat,” said Petaluma coach Mike Butts.</p><p>Petaluma did not have a place finisher, but had two wrestlers reach the quarterfinals.</p><p>Bella Pimentel, wrestling sick, still managed a 2-2 record with a pin and a major decision.</p><p>Ariela Westlake had a 3-2 record, recording three pins in a row.</p><p>Vanessa Stammler had a 2-2 record with both her wins coming on pins. One of her losses was a tough 9-7 decision to Ashley Matthews of Canyon High School.</p><p>Dylann Moore compiled a 2-2 record.</p>
