McNear sixth-grader wins south county spelling bee

Sixth-grader Lilly Reinstein of McNear Elementary School won the South County Regional Spelling Bee at Corona Creek Elementary School on March 3.

Reinstein, along with the other top five finishers, now will move on to complete in the Sonoma County Elementary Spelling Competition, to be held at 4 p.m. on March 29 at the Sonoma County Office of Education.
The other top finishers in the regional competition were: Calvin Jin, a sixth-grader from Harvest Christian school, second place; Grace Cutting, a fifth-grader from St. Francis Solano School, third place; Erin Martin, a sixth-grader from Two Rock Elementary School, fourth place; and Sarah Jane Catarozoli, a fifth-grader from Valley Vista Elementary School, fifth place.
