Medeiros leads Trojan golfers to win

The Petaluma and Casa Grande boys golf teams split success Thursday, with Petaluma defeating Healdsburg, 219-228, while Casa Grande lost to Windsor, 208-221.

Matt Medeiros led Petaluma with a 33 at Rooster Run, 10 strokes better than any other golfer.

Chris Southard shot a 43, Brian Fix a 44, Trevor Silva a 46 and Jaycob Marsh a 52 for the Trojans. Josh Sumpter led Healdsburg with a 43.

Daniel DalPoggeto shot a par 36 for Casa Grande at the Windsor Golf Club, but it wasn’t enough for the Gauchos.

Cory Ghiringhelli and Taylor Battaglia scored 45 for the Gauchos, Brandon Cramer 47 and Janie Aughney 48 for Casa. Nick Daniels led Windsor with a 37, with Will Cinque shooting a 38.
