7 arrested for alcohol-related crimes during parade

Five people were arrested for drunkenness and two were nabbed for DUI during Butter & Egg Days on Saturday.

Arrested for public drunkenness were: James Nicholas Moore, 29, of Petaluma; Zachery Moore, 20, of Petaluma; Richard Pearce, 21; Sean Sauberlich, 29, of Novato; and Tara Whitaker, 28, of Craig, Colo.

Minh Luong, 27, of Santa Rosa and Markus Alverio, 28, of Petaluma were arrested for DUI.

Mario Balestrini, 31, of Petaluma was arrested for battery and possession of narcotics. Also, 16 people were arrested for the misdemeanor crime of being a minor in possession of alcohol, and 29 people were cited for the municipal code violations of opening a container of alcohol in public or urinating in public.
