Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. Further information on some cases was not immediately available and is indicated by the acronym INA (information not available). The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are later found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.


MONDAY, JULY 26

3:33 a.m. — Colby Reece, 19, of 500 Garfield Drive was arrested on Park Place for DUI.

10:40 a.m. — Graffiti was discovered on Washington Street. INA.

3:47 p.m. — Police received a report of a petty theft on North McDowell Boulevard. INA.

4:34 p.m. — License plates were stolen from a vehicle on Lakeville Street.

4:52 p.m. — Nathali N. Sanchez, 19 and Maria T. Perez, 37, both of Santa Rosa, were arrested on North McDowell Boulevard for felony shoplifting and possession of false identification.

5:27 p.m. — An ambulance was dispatched for a vehicle accident on Daniel Drive at Ivy Lane.

SUNDAY, JULY 25

12:25 a.m. — Leslie A. White, 55, of 340 Liberty Street was arrested for DUI on Fairgrounds Drive at Washington Street.

2:10 a.m. — Vandalism was discovered on Simon Drive. INA.

7:23 a.m. — Police received a report of vandalism on Washington Street. INA.

3:30 p.m. — A 17-year-old Petaluma boy was arrested on Lauren Drive at North McDowell Boulevard for possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics and being a minor in possession of tobacco.

6:53 p.m. — Robert M. Coons, 36, of 1525 Weaverly Drive was arrested at his residence for possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation. A 43-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman who live at the same address were cited for possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.

SATURDAY, JULY 24

12:15 a.m. — Police received a report of a petty theft on Jeffrey Drive. INA.

11:47 a.m. — Police took a report of a burglary on Quail Drive. INA.

12:23 p.m. — Police received a report of a burglary on Burgundy Court. INA.

1:45 p.m. — Stevonzi A. Chavez, 20, of San Jose was arrested on Clegg Street at North McDowell Boulevard on a felony warrant.

3:05 p.m. — Andew W. Mathis, 32, of 32 Rocca Drive was arrested at his residence for battery.

7:13 p.m. — Police received a report from a resident on Sestri Lane of a theft by use of access-card information.

9:18 p.m. — A vehicle was stolen from Steamer Landing Park.

FRIDAY, JULY 23

1:44 a.m. — Cynthia L. Jones, 50, was arrested for child stealing.

2:05 a.m. — Cullen W. Carroll, 19, of 419 Nottingham Court was arrested for battery and hosting an unruly underage party.

10:24 a.m. — A bicycle was stolen from Chehalis Drive.

10:58 a.m. — Vandalism was discovered on Copeland Street. INA.

11:57 a.m. — Police received a report of vandalism on Petaluma Boulevard North.

6:12 p.m. — A minor-injury traffic accident occurred on Western Avenue.

6:23 p.m. — Steven D. Jaul, 21, of Auburn was arrested on Petaluma Boulevard North for possession of marijuana for sale and transporting marijuana for sale.

6:41 p.m. — Shawn K. Cahoon, 34, of Rohnert Park was arrested on South McDowell Boulevard at Old Redwood Highway for DUI.

7:25 p.m. — James C. Jensen, 50, of Penngrove was arrested on Ely Road for DUI.

THURSDAY, JULY 22

9:16 a.m. — Vandalism was discovered on Petaluma Boulevard North. INA.

12:24 p.m. — Police received a report of a petty theft on Petaluma Boulevard North. INA.

2:42 p.m. — Police took a report of someone receiving property under an assumed identification on Petaluma Boulevard North. INA.

8:05 p.m. — James J. Mistron, 40, of Petaluma was arrested on Payran Street for public intoxication and violation of probation.

10:02 p.m. — Tishannon E. Wilder, 32, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence and violation of probation.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 21

4:04 a.m. — Ronald P. Head, 39, of 1028 Petaluma Blvd. was arrested on Ely Boulevard for burglary and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

10:06 a.m. — Police received a report of a petty theft on South McDowell Boulevard. INA.

2:28 p.m. — Police took a report from Petaluma Boulevard North of someone obtaining credit using stolen identification information.

3:52 p.m. — Omar F. Aguado, 20, of 1299 McGregor Ave. was arrested on Baywood Drive at Perry Lane for possession of marijuana for sale. A 19-year-old San Rafael man was arrested for possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and on a misdemeanor bench warrant.

TUESDAY, JULY 20

5:47 p.m. — Reuben T. Cobia, 37, of Miami Beach, Fla., was arrested on the southbound Lakeville Highway on-ramp for possession of marijuana for sale and transporting marijuana for sale.

9:05 p.m. — Police received a report of a grand theft on Petaluma Boulevard South.
