Small fire extinguished inside Petaluma Hotel

<p>Petaluma firefighters responded to a blaze at the Petaluma Hotel on Washington Street Saturday night.</p><p>The 8:30 p.m. blaze reportedly started outside of the door to one room in the hotel. A guest at the hotel doused the fire with water and extinguished the fire that was accessible on one side of the door, according to fire officials.</p><p>Automatic sprinklers controlled the fire on the inside of the hotel room door, according to fire officials.</p><p>The hotel sustained water damage from the sprinkler system on the floor where the fire occurred, as well as below.
