Old Adobe District seeks applicants for vacant board seat

<p>The Old Adobe Union School District has begun accepting applications for an available seat on its board of trustees.</p><p>The seat is available because only two candidates have filed to run for the school district's three available board seats in the Nov. 2 election. Current board members will select the additional member.</p><p>Applicants must live within the boundaries of the school district and be registered voters. They need to submit an application form and a resume or curriculum vitae. </p><p>Application information can be picked up at the district office, 845 Crinella Drive, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or can be obtained at www.oldadobe.org. Completed application packets are due at the district office no later than 5 p.m. on Oct. 5.</p><p>A question-and-answer session for prospective candidates will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the district office. Candidates will be interviewed by current board members at a special board meeting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Miwok Elementary School, 1010 St. Francis Drive.</p><p>Qualified citizens can inquire about the position by contacting Superintendent Diane Zimmerman or her assistant, Rita Fry, at 765-4322.</p><p> — Argus-Courier Staff</p>
