An 82-year-old Petaluma man was arrested and hospitalized after a suspected drunken driving crash in east Petaluma, police reported.

William Pitsker, 82, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with a possible head injury.

He crashed his 2001 Subaru at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday while driving on McDowell Boulevard at McKenzie Way.

Pitsker didn't yield at a red light and hit another driver broadside. That driver reportedly wasn't seriously injured.

Officers determined he was intoxicated and he was arrested but released for hospital treatment.
