A day to honor Little League outfield angel

<p>Angel in the Outfield, a fundraising event to establish a Little League scholarship in the name of Trevor Smith will be held Oct. 20 at the Petaluma Valley Athletic Club. </p><p>Smith, a Petaluma American Little Lague player, was killed in a traffic accident in June. The event will be held in his honor with all proceeds going to help provide financial assistance to help Petaluma youngsters play Little League baseball.</p><p>Sponsored by the Petaluma Fabulous Women, the event will include food, beverages, a raffle and activities for all ages, including a dunk tank, pitching machine, basketball challenge and carnival games. </p><p>Budderball the Clown will offer face painting and balloon art. Clover the Cow will be on hand to spread love, joy and ice cream.</p><p>There will be a special appearance by the Petaluma National Little League All-Star team that finished third in the world in the Little League World Series.</p><p>Persons attending are asked to bring a side dish or salad to share, but are requested to avoid bringing any food containing avocado, bananas or kiwi because of allergies of some of those participating. </p><p>To donate a raffle or auction item, contact Shelly Coons at 773-4884.
