A woman who died Friday following a crash on Todd Road was a 33-year-old Santa Rosa resident, according to the CHP.
Selana Ross died soon after the 4:35 p.m. crash.
Ross had been a passenger in a car driven by Emile Smith, 33, of Sebastopol.
They were driving east on Todd Rodd west of Stony Point Road when Smith apparently lost control of the Mazda Miata.
It left the roadway and the small car smashed into a tree, hitting on the passenger side.
The severely injured Ross had to be cut free from the wreckage by firefighters.
About five hours after the crash, the CHP reported she had died.
Smith also was injured but details on his condition weren't available.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
