Petaluma police search for marijuana burglary suspects

<p>Petaluma police are searching for three burglars who broke into a home with a marijuana garden and stole plants, a safe and maybe a gun.</p><p>Petaluma Lt. Tim Lyons said the burglars first broke into a car parked in front of the Lindberg Lane home, off of Lakeville Street. They used the garage door opener to get into the garage and home.</p><p>Officers called to the house by witnesses at about 4:20 p.m. Saturday found remnants of a garden inside the home.</p><p>Witnesses old police several people had been coming and going from the house in the three days prior to the burglary, said Lyons.</p><p>Officers alerted city officials to the indoor marijuana garden for investigation of possible city code violations.</p><p>Police released a photo of the burglar's car and Lyons asked anyone with information to contact Officer Farinha at (707) 778-4372.</p>
