Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are later found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 31

9:52 a.m. — Felony vandalism was reported on Sunrise Parkway.

4:16 p.m. — Vandalism was reported on Clegg Court.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 30

10:51 a.m. — A vehicle was reported stolen on East Washington Street.

7:48 p.m. — A vehicle was reported stolen on Margo Lane.

11:01 p.m. — Vandalism was reported on Petaluma Boulevard South.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 29

1: 35 a.m. — Dominick A. Ortiz, 37, of Petaluma was arrested on Lakeville Street at Petaluma Boulevard North on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. He was released on a citation to appear in court.

1:50 p.m. — Thad A. Summary, 45, of Petaluma was arrested on South McDowell Boulevard on suspicion of misdemeanor cruelty to children and DUI.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28

4:25 p.m. — Julio C. Torres, 23, of Petaluma was arrested in the 1600 block of Cerro Sonoma Circle on suspicion of two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance for sale and violation of probation.

1:13 a.m. — A misdemeanor hit and run was reported on East Washington Street.

8:29 a.m. — Felony vandalism was reported on Castle Drive.

8:50 a.m. — Misdemeanor vandalism was reported on San Rafael Drive.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27

1:01 a.m. — A prowler was reported on Catalpa Way.

10:27 a.m. — During a traffic stop, Gerald R. Jones, 50, of Hesperia was arrested in the 5100 block of Montero Way on suspicion of misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place. He was also cited for failing to stop at a red light. He was arrested and booked into jail.

4:52 p.m. — Blaise M. Goelet, 36, of Petaluma was arrested on Petaluma Boulevard North on suspicion of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 26

8:16 a.m. — A burglary was reported on D Street.

8:25 p.m. — Narcotic activity was reported on North Webster Street. Officers were unable to locate any suspects upon arrival.
