T-Girls remain undefeated in league

Petaluma High School’s T-Girls hit a rough spot in the second quarter, but rebounded for a 59-41 win over Piner’s Lady Prospectors Thursday night.
Playing at Piner, Petaluma jumped out to a 13-4 first-quarter lead, but allowed Piner to battle back into the game with a 19-point second quarter. At the half, Petaluma led just 25-23. The T-Girls dominated the second half for their eighth straight Sonoma County League victory without a loss. Overall, Petaluma is 18-4. Piner falls to 2-5 in league play.
Allison Scranton continued her recent string of high-scoring efforts for the T-Girls with 14 points. Joelle Krist added 13 and Lisa Guptill scored 12. Kaytlin Mercado with 15 points and Sarah Arleseros with 13 carried the scoring load for Piner.
Petaluma hosts Healdsburg on Tuesday.
