A 51-year-old Petaluma man was arrested Friday afternoon on suspicion of robbery and resisting arrest.
Kristin Longenbaugh was identified as a suspect in a strong arm robbery at the 7-11 Store at 101 N. McDowell Blvd. that occurred Thursday night.
Petaluma Police said the victim, the store clerk, was uninjured.
On Friday afternoon, a police officer spotted Longenbaugh on a bicycle and attempted to stop him. He fled down a dirt path between East Washington Street and Maria Drive.
Even after the officer caught up with Longenbaugh, the cyclist continued to evade him, according to Sgt. Jim Stephenson, forcing the officer to cut off his escape by driving in front of him.
Longenbaugh was booked into Sonoma County Jail. He also was wanted on a felony warrant for a previous burglary and probation violation.
