A fishing boat slid off its trailer and onto rural Highway 29 in Lake County early Tuesday after the driver lost control of his pickup and trailer, reported the CHP.

The 2008 Ranger Bass boat landed in a traffic lane after the 7 a.m. crash. The CHP reported it landed near a passing lane, allowing traffic to be directed around it.

No one was injured, reported CHP Officer Garret Ray.

The driver had been driving through a winding, narrow stretch of the highway west of Middletown when he lost control of his pickup, Ray said.

The CHP controlled traffic for two hours, allowing the boat to be removed.
