Peter Musser

Well, PM Percussion congas made by Peter Musser were recently ranked No. 5 on a list of the 10 best conga drums in the world by musician and recording artist Michael Pluznick on his website.

“These are superb conga drums and a finely made handcrafted instrument,” Pluznick wrote. “He pays meticulous attention to detail. Peter makes his drums from a variety of woods and even uses aged wine barrels and peppered cedar. His drums are quite beautiful and sound great as well.”

Pluznick went on to say, “The finish is so beautiful and almost on par in terms of beautiful exotic wood finish and sound with the Volcano drums from Hawaii.”

Musser, who was featured in an Argus-Courier community profile in 2009, is also a high-end residential carpenter. Pluznick's website is www.michaelpluznick.com.
