EDITOR: Your article about local governments employing lobbyists (“Lobbying gets results for local agencies,” March 25) re-enforces the fact that lobbyists, unions and corporations buy our elected officials. We elect people who promise to represent all of us; however money always talks.
Your article seemed to suggest how lucky we are to be able to spend taxpayers’ money to buy the people who reward us for paying them off. It is too bad that this is the way our government works.
