A 40-year-old Santa Rosa man was arrested Sunday after he was pulled over in a car reported stolen from Solano County, Santa Rosa police said.
Officers were on the lookout for the green 1994 Ford Explorer because it was spotted leaving the scene of a fight on Ripley Street near Cleveland Avenue, Sgt. John Cregan said. Officers discovered the SUV had been stolen from Fairfield.
An officer later spotted the car heading west on Highway 12 toward Sebastopol, Cregan said.
The officer pulled over the driver, later identified as Robert Ross, Jr., at a Chevron gas station along the highway.
Ross was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
