The victim of a fiery crash on Highway 101 in Novato last month was identified Wednesday as Hans Hunter Kindt, 53, of Santa Rosa, officials said.
Kindt was the sole occupant of a speeding Honda that veered across all traffic lanes, crashed into a concrete overpass support and burst into flames about 6:40 p.m. on April 13, the California Highway Patrol said.
Kindt, who was trapped inside the car, was identified through dental evidence, the Marin County Coroner's Office said.
The cause of death and the crash itself are still under investigation, sheriff's Lt. Keith Boyd said.
