A young Middletown man who wasn't wearing a seat belt died Monday morning after he drove into a tree off of Highway 175, said the Lake County CHP.
The deceased driver was identified as Dinoti R. Mosley, 20, according to CHP Officer Joe Wind in a press release issued Monday afternoon.
The crash was at about 6:30 a.m. on the rural highway, west of Middletown and east of Anderson Springs Road, said Wind.
As Mosley drove into a curve his 1994 Geo Prizm left the roadway and hit the tree.
He died in the crash.
His death is the eighth so far this year on Lake County roadways monitored by the CHP, said Wind.
“That's a high number for being May already,” Wind said.
The crash closed the highway to one-way traffic for about an hour.
