Riding with a group of motorcycles along the Sonoma Coast, a Texas man crashed after he apparently became distracted, the CHP reported Tuesday.
A CALSTAR medical helicopter flew Richard Snyder, 63, to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital after Monday's crash just after noon.
Snyder, of Fort Worth, was riding north on Highway 1.
About seven miles south of The Sea Ranch he became distracted with something going on with the motorcycles ahead of him. He lost sight of the roadway and crashed, said CHP Officer Kimberly Lemons.
Snyder suffered multiple injuries including broken bones, according to initial reports.
He was in serious condition Tuesday at the hospital.
