Police Thursday released images from a robbery at a Santa Rosa credit union in the hopes that people may come forward with information.
Three men wearing black hooded sweatshirts, masks and sunglasses barged into the Redwood Credit Union branch on Fourth Street on Monday yelling profanities and ordering staff and customers to the floor, police said.
Redwood Credit Union is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest, and the Sonoma County Alliance Take Back Our Community fund is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the conviction of the robbers.
The men left with an undisclosed amount of cash in a van stolen from Vallejo, then apparently switched vehicles nearby, Sgt. Dave Linscomb said.
The surveillance images show men wrapped in dark clothing. They appear to have light complexions, Linscomb said. One suspect was described as standing about 6-foot-2 with a thin build. A second man was shorter, 5 feet and 8 or 9 inches with a stocky build, Linscomb said.
The third man was described as about 6 feet tall with an average build.
Initial reports said the suspects shouted gang slogans during the robbery. Police have received few tips thus far and do not yet know whether the robbers were gang members.
Anyone with information about the case can call the Police Department’s violent crimes unit at 543-3590.
