The Petaluma American Little League remained alive in the District 35 All-Star Tournament for 13-14-year-olds and play again for survival Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock on the Rancho Cotati Junior League Field at Helen Putnam Park in Cotati.
The Americans, who have won three straight games since being knocked into the losers’ bracket by Petaluma Valley in their second game, will face the winner of Friday’s El Molino vs. Sebastopol match. A win in that game will advance them to another must-win game on Sunday at 11 a.m., just one step away from playing for the district championship Monday night.
Petaluma American remained alive by thumping Fort Bragg, 16-3, in a contest played on Thursday.
