Joy Thompson Raven died at her home in Petaluma on Dec. 7, 2013 at the age of 92 years.
A native of Petaluma, Raven's father Reuben and his brother, Jefferson Thompson were the founders of the Marin French Cheese Factory in the early 1860s.
Beloved wife of the late Hans S. Raven. Loving mother of Bruce (Mary) Raven, Trina (Gene) Corda, and Christy (Larry) Silacci. Cherished grandmother of Brian Raven, Neely Raven, Chris Corda, Janna Corda, Doug Silacci and Lucas Silacci. Great grandmother of 6. Joy is also survived by her best friend since junior high school, Audrey Foot. The family also express their appreciation to Joy's caregiver, Mele Radrodro.
At the request of Joy, there will be no services. The family prefer memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or to your favorite charity.
