The Grinch is out in Petaluma’s northeast neighborhoods. Police have gotten three reports of packages being stolen right off the front porch of homes. Additionally, four vehicles were broken into in the same area over the weekend.

The package thefts occurred at homes on Tahola Drive, Princeville Court and Rainier Drive. Neighbors said they didn’t notice anything suspicious. Police advise residents to keep an eye out of suspicious people on their street, or watch for people who may be following delivery drivers.

Items reportedly stolen in the car break-ins included packages and electronic equipment. All seven of the thefts occurred at night.

Some of the vehicles were left unlocked, and police are urging residents to make sure their cars are locked and that valuables aren’t left in plain sight.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Petaluma Police Department at 778-4372.
