A parked car was found ablaze on Lakeville Highway at Cannon Lane near Petaluma at around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, Battalion Chief Jeff Holden of the Petaluma Fire Department said.
“I heard it was a potential arson fire,” Holden said.
The car was believed to be a Cadillac, he said.
Petaluma Fire Department and other agencies responded to the scene, and it took a while to extinguish the blaze, he said.
“I know they ran out of water, because there are no hydrants out there,” Holden said. “Our engine used a tank of water and had to wait for the next engine to come.”
