Elderly man struck, badly injured in Petaluma crosswalk

An 85-year-old man was struck while walking in a Petaluma crosswalk by a motorist later arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, Petaluma police officials said.

THE CHALKBOARD Meadow students celebrate differing abilities

Meadow School’s Ability Awareness Day celebrated differing abilities last Friday. In an effort to educate and reduce the fear often felt when encountering a person with a disability, speakers with varying abilities and disabilities came to speak to the students in third through sixth grade, according to principal Melissa Becker.
