Tuesday, Dec. 24

2:52 p.m. -#8212; Fire officials responded to a call on North McDowell Boulevard after a car struck a bicyclist. The cyclist, a 44-year-old man from Santa Rosa, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

10:48 p.m. -#8212; A structure fire was reported on Brown Lane. When fire officials arrived, they had to force their way through a padlock to access the blaze. The structure was fully engulfed, but no one was inside. Firefighters spent two hours putting out the flames and cleaning up the scene.

Friday, Dec. 27

3:24 a.m. -#8212; A grass fire was reported burning on Petaluma Boulevard North. When crews arrived, they found debris on fire, and quickly put out the blaze. No cause for the fire could be determined.

10:48 p.m. -#8212; A structure fire was reported on Brown Lane. When fire officials arrived, they had to force their way through a padlock to access the blaze. The structure was fully engulfed, but no one was inside. Firefighters spent two hours putting out the flames and cleaning up the scene.

Saturday, Dec. 28

3:07 a.m. -#8212; Yet another fire was reported near the railroad tracks on Petaluma Boulevard North -#8212; the third in a week. Fire officials extinguished the blaze and Petaluma police arrested a person of interest in the intentional blaze. The area is popular with homeless, who often light bonfires in the open space.
