Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus to have follow-up information published.

Monday, Jan. 6

8:09 a.m. -#8212; Garrett T. Porter., 23, of Petaluma, was arrested in the 500 block of Sunnyslope Road on a misdemeanor bench warrant.

6:24 p.m. -#8212; Jesus Mendez Jr., 27, of Petaluma, was arrested in the 1400 block of Dandelion Way on a misdemeanor bench warrant.

6:30 p.m. -#8212; Jonas A. Hertz, 24, of Novato, as cited on Washington Street at Western Avenue on a misdemeanor bench warrant.

Sunday, Jan. 5

1:40 p.m. -#8212; Nancy D. Jorgensen, 50, of Petaluma, was arrested on Magnolia Avenue on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence battery and violating probation.

2:29 p.m. -#8212; Timothy M. Gutierrez, 21, of Petaluma, was arrested in the 400 block of Kenilworth Drive on suspicion of felony embezzlement.
