Petaluma police found what they suspect was a trove of stolen goods and Wednesday asked the public's help finding an owner.

The items included power tools, sports equipment as well as two coin collection books for nickels and dimes, Lt. Police Tim Lyons said.

Officers found the items at a large campsite at the Adobe Creek Golf Course, Lyons said. A maintenance worker at the Adobe Creek Golf Course alerted police at about 1:30 p.m. Monday after finding after finding a large camp near the 11th green of the course, Lyons said.

Officers haven't been able to identify a victim of a recent theft or burglary missing the items.

Anyone with information about the items or who resided at the camp can call Petaluma police at 778-4372.
