Bookkeeper

Sonoma County native Cherrill Lee Greenhagen was born in Sebastopol, but was raised and educated in Petaluma, graduating from Petaluma High School in 1947.

Mrs. Greenhagen died on Feb. 4, 2013 at the age of 83.

She married Stanley Greenhagen on June 11, 1950 in Petaluma. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at the Petaluma Argus-Courier.

Mrs. Greenhagen gardened, sewed and had the knack for turning strangers into friends.

She is survived by her children, Steve Greenhagen of Sacramento, Jeff Greenhagen of Livermore, and Sharon Greenhagen of Sacramento; grandchildren; and siblings, Allan Henderson of Penngrove, Robert Henderson of Concord and Dennis Henderson of Petaluma. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Stanley Greenhagen.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma 94952.
