After a wildly successful visit in 2012, Chris Colfer is returning to Petaluma's Copperfield's to celebrate his second children's book, "The Enchantress Returns," on Aug. 17.
Well-known for his role as gay teen Kurt Hummel on the hit show "Glee," he has done much to contribute to widespread awareness on gay issues. Last year, Colfer delighted fans by adding author to his resume with the release of his first children's book, "The Wishing Spell."
The first story is about a set of twins who are given a fairytale book by their grandmother, not knowing they are about to be entered into a world where fairytales are real.
The fairytales are like nothing they've ever read before: Goldilocks is a wanted fugitive, Red Riding Hood has a kingdom of her own, and Queen Cinderella is about to have a child. Things get even more complicated as the twins try to find their way home, only to have the Evil Queen hot on their trail.
Colfer's second book of the series, "The Enchantress Returns," is available for pre-sale now for an Aug. 8 release date. It continues the story of twins, Alex and Conner Bailey, as they try to avoid the wrath of the Evil Queen.
