Analy rallies past Petaluma

The Analy Tigers rallied in the fourth set to best the Petaluma Trojans 25-18, 17-25, 25-23, 27-25 on Thursday night.

"I really feel like this was the first time in a couple of weeks where we really had fun," Analy senior outside hitter Sina Fuiava said of the win.

Analy took the first set with ease, downing the Trojans 25-18, before the Trojans found their niche and easily stole the second set 25-17.

Petaluma rallied around captain Maddie Mehciz and never trailed in the second match as Katie Breuer drilled an unassisted kill to seal the set. Mehciz finished with 28 assists, three kills and eight digs.

"I think we started off making a lot of errors, but then we came back down to earth," Petaluma coach Christen Hamilton said. "There were a lot of errors, and I think that's what it came down to. They made less errors."
