Nonprofit releases guide to help people find food

One out of every five people in Sonoma County experiences food insecurity, according to the Petaluma People Services Center.

That staggering number is part of why they've created a new Food Resource Guide through Petaluma Bounty, the nonprofit farm that provides food to many community members.

Those resources are plentiful, including free hot meals through the Petaluma Kitchen at 900 Hopper Street, free groceries through the Committee on the Shelterless Food Box program (778-6380), interfaith food pantries, the Redwood Empire Food Bank's Petaluma locations, and more.
