Reynolds title leads Bantam wrestling efforts

Jack Reynolds highlighted Petaluma Junior High School efforts in the North Valley League wrestling championships, taking his second straight league title.

Reynolds won the 98-pound class with a 2-0 record that included two pins.

Petaluma finished fourth in the team competition with 83 points, with league dual-meet champion Windsor narrowly edging Lawrence Jones for the team title 109-107.

Competitors for Petaluma Junior High School were, by weight class:

Ryan Robinson finished fourth at 78 pounds with a 2-2 record and one pin.

Jake Williams was third at 93 pounds, finishing with a 2-1 record with a pin.

Joe O'Hagen culminated an outstanding first season with a first in the tournament's junior varsity competition, winning three matches at 98 pounds, two by pin.

Jack Pieffer placed fourth at 98 pounds with a 1-2 record, with his one win coming by pin.

Kyle Challe came in third at 105 pounds with a 3-1 record and two pins.

Christian Williams was second in the 105-pound class in junior varsity competition, with a 1-1 record with his win coming via a pin.
