Police seek public's help in finding TV thief

Petaluma police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they suspect of stealing a 32-inch flatscreen TV from Kmart on Sunday.

Officers were dispatched to a burglary report on Sunday at about 8:30 a.m., after employees reported that video security footage showed a white male in his mid-20s to early 30s had walked into the store and entered a secured area.

Video surveillance showed the suspect, with short, dark hair, wearing a black and red jacket, pick up a 32-inch Seiki flatscreen HDTV worth approximately $250 and walk out of the store without paying for it.

If anyone recognizes the suspect or has information regarding this crime, call the Petaluma Police Department at 778-4372 or Crime Tips at 781-1200.
