Teen Survivor a new kind of competition

Even for Petaluma, Teen Survivor Petaluma is a different kind of activity combining athleticism, thinking and teamwork.

The event, sponsored by the Petaluma Youth Commission, will be held April 14 at 1 p.m. at Redwood Empire Gymnastics, 434 Payran St.

The idea is for teams of 13 to 18 year olds to compete in eight different activities that will challenge both the mind and the body.

Each team will consist of six people. Teams may be all-boy, all-girl or coed.

Registration deadline is Monday, April 8. Registration may be made at the Petaluma Parks and Recreation Center at Lucchesi Park or online at www.cityofpetaluma.net/register.html. Click on Teen Survivor Petaluma in red in the middle of the page.

For more information, contact Hailey Lynch at 529-3293 or by email at haileylynch@comcast.net. More information is also available on the Youth Commission Facebook page at http://facebook.com/PetalumaYouthCommission?ref=ts&fref=ts.
