The Petaluma Fire Department received 43 medical and 82 fire or other emergency calls from Sept. 23 through Sept. 29. Here are some of the calls.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

8:50 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of an accident between a vehicle and pedestrian at 1000 Lakeville St. No vehicle was present at the scene, but a 35-year-old woman claimed to have been hit by one. She was taken to the hospital.

Thursday, Sept. 26

1:25 a.m. — Firefighters rushed to 35 E. Washington St. for a fire in an apartment complex. It was a small stovetop fire in an apartment, and sprinklers extinguished it.

Friday, Sept. 27

1:40 p.m. — Units headed to North McDowell Boulevard just south of Rainier Avenue for a crash. One woman was taken to the hospital.

Sunday, Sept. 29

10:49 a.m. — A crash occurred on Highway 101 North, north of East Washington Street. One patient was taken to the hospital.

11:17 a.m. — A cooking fire occurred at 1900 Sestri Lane. A resident explained that he had been cooking with oil on the stove when it caught on fire. He was unable to extinguish it, and the sprinklers activated. There was about $5,000 in fire damage and $5,000 in water damage to the building.
