The Petaluma Jr. Pee Wee Panthers suffered their first loss of the season to the Jr. Pee Wee Redwood PAL Bears 19-13.
The Panthers drew first blood with a 63-yard TD pass from quarterback Miguel Robertson to Toby Humphreys. Robertson added the PAT on a quarterback keeper making the score 7-0.
The Bears finally struck back with 44 seconds left in the second quarter on a long sweep for a touchdown. The PAT was no good, and the Panthers took a 7-6 lead into the half.
The tough Panther defense held up through most of the third quarter with spectacular play from Matthew Herrera, Sebastian Gonzales, Logan Walsh, Maverick Googins and Kekoa Garrido.
However, PAL added a second score and PAT making the score 13-7. The quick and explosive PAL offense added another score in the fourth quarter, but the PAT failed, giving them a 19-7 lead.
The tenacious Panthers did not give up. Robertson completed a 55-yard TD pass to Dominic Giomi. The PAT was no good.
