Petaluma police seek couple in Kohl's thefts

Petaluma police are looking to the public for help in identifying a couple who reportedly filled two shopping carts with merchandise at a local Kohl's store, then packed their haul into a dark blue minivan and left without paying on Tuesday afternoon.

The woman in the pair was caught on surveillance tape, as was the van they left in, police said.

The theft occurred around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the North McDowell Boulevard store when a man and woman shopping at the store loaded the carts, then moved them toward the store exit.

The man then left the store and moments later pulled a minivan to the entrance, loaded up the merchandise and took off with the woman, police said.

The suspects were identified as a Latino man and woman in their late 20s or 30.

Anyone with information about them or the case can call police at (707) 778-4372 or the crime tips line at (707) 781-1200.
