Casa Grande scored in overtime to defeat Rancho Cotate, 4-3, in a match played in Rohnert Park.

After a scoreless first half, each team scored three goals in the second half, forcing the overtime.

Kayla Ryan, Jennifer Nelson, Amanda Gailbraith and Haley Irbane scored for the Lady Gauchos.

The win was the second thriller of the week for the Lady Gauchos, who earlier defeated Cardinal Newman, 3-2, in Santa Rosa. Gailbraith scored two goals to lead the win, with Nelson also scoring.

St. Vincent exploded for six goals in the second half to dominate rival Tomales, 9-0, in a North Central League II match played at Tomales.

Rebecca Dodele led the victory with three goals, while Gale Leonheart, Tavia Vitkauskas, Emma Roberti, MacKenzie Fairow, Grace Jennings and Alexa Evans all scorered for the Lady Mustangs. Dodele, Vitkauskas, Leonheart, Roberti, Fairow, Delaney Frye and McKenna Wilson-Kay all provided assists as St. Vincent improved to 12-3 on the season and 9-2 in league play.


Casa Grande's Lady Gauchos took a long drive to victory, defeating Ukiah, 6-1, in Ukiah.

Satvika Madadi, Sara Geyer, Sandy Yang and Alaina Duner all won singles matches without losing a set.

Casa's No. 1 doubles team of Taylor Doran and Melanie Halligan took two sets without losing a point, while the No. 3 doubles team of Julia O'Keefe and Michelle Ruiz won, 6-1, 6-1.

The Lady Gauchos then ran into powerhouse Cardinal Newman and lost, 6-1, in a match played in Santa Rosa.

Casa Grande's No. 1 doubles team of Doran and Halligan was the only winner for the Lady Gauchos, and they had a real battle with Cardinal Newman's Sadie Shroeder and Anna Tamayo, finally prevailing, 3-6, 7-5, 10-4.


Goalkeeper Sam Falkenburg and the Casa Grande defense shut out Cardinal Newman, 3-0, in a North Bay League match played at Cardinal Newman.

Paco Villegas led the victory with two goals. Noah Wilson scored a goal and assisted on one of Villegos' goals. Mauri Lopez and Irvin Lopez also had assists.

Casa Grande is now 9-2-1 overall and 6-2 in NBL play.

Casa Grande's Gauchos had some chances, but were unable to get a shot past Montgomery goal keeper Jordan Page and lost at Montgomery, 2-0.

Petaluma's Trojans were also shut out, losing to Analy 2-0. The game was scoreless at the half, but the Tigers broke loose for two goals and the win in the second half.

Joe DeMars was perfect in goal, helping the St. Vincent Mustangs blank anderson Valley, 2-0.

Henry Lane scored for St. Vincent. The other Mustang score was an own goal inadvertently booted in by Anderson Valley.


Casa Grande dominated the final two sets to defeat Rancho Cotate 3-1, in a North Bay League match played in Rohnert Park.

Casa won the first set, 25-23, and lost the second, 25-16. Before taking charge to win. 25-19, 25-15.

Gabby Banaszek led the way for Casa with 21 kills. Sadie Welch had 14 kills and Kayleigh Hart contributed 23 assists.

Petaluma lost a heartbreaking game on its home court to Healdsburg in four sets. Healdsburg won the first two games, 25-21, 27-25. The Lady Trojans rallied to win the third set, 25-20, before Healdsburg captured the win, 25-23.

St. Vincent swept Upper Lake in three sets, but it wasn't as easy as the sweep indicates. After winning the first two sets 25-15 and 25-12, The Lady Mustangs and Lady Cougars hooked up in a marathon third set, with St. Vincent finally winning, 31-19.

The win was the sixth straight for the Lady Mustangs, who are 10-5 on the season and 7-1 against North Central League II foes.
