Petaluma girls tennis team is perfect in SCL


Petaluma completed a perfect 12-0 Sonoma County League championship season with a 7-0 win over Healdsburg.

Maddie Thomas, Hannah Sloth, Giulia Brena and Ada Payne were singles winners for the Lady Trojans.

Emma Morgan teamed with Emma Stessman, Grace Davis joined Grace Slembrock and Celine Rogers teamed with Solia Gonzalez for doubles wins.

Casa Grande's No. 1 singles player, Satvika Madadi, won her first two matches in the North Bay League Singles Tournament before losing to eventual champion Fu Long of Maria Carrillo, 6-0, 6-0, in the semifinals. Madadi then lost the match for third place to Emily Greco of Cardinal Newman, 6-4, 6-1.


Casa Grande High School's Emily Hulsman and Ptaluma's Sarah Jane Catarozoli qualified for the North Coast Section girls golf championships.

Hulsman finished third in a qualifying match played at Diablo Creek Golf course in Concord. The Casa standout shot an 85 to qualify for NCS for the second consecutive year. Catarozoli took the final singles qualifying spot with a 97. By winning the North Bay League, Maria Carrillo qualified its entire team, as did Sonoma County League champion Analy,
