The Petaluma Fire Department received 36 medical and 54 fire or other emergency calls from Nov. 4 through Nov. 10. Here are some of the calls.
Monday, Nov. 4
1:41 p.m. — Firefighters responded to the scene of a two-car accident on Lakeville Highway at Pine View Way where one of the drivers complained of shoulder pain. Officials transported the 83-year-old man to the hospital.
Tuesday, Nov. 5
8:01 a.m. — A 73-year-old man got a ride to Petaluma Valley Hospital following a head-on collision between a Chevy and an Acura on East Washington Street at Sonoma Mountain Parkway. Petaluma police were also on scene, and assisted by driving a minor who was in one of the vehicles to school.
1:20 p.m. — A 24-year-old Napa motorcyclist was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital's trauma center following an accident with a compact pick-up truck on North McDowell Boulevard at East Washington Street. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Friday, Nov. 8
10:05 a.m. — Firefighters responded to reports of a fire near Petaluma Boulevard North. Once on scene, officials found a small fire burning at the homeless encampment along the creek. Fire units were able to access the land via a nearby field, and cleared the scene in less than an hour. The origin of the fire was undetermined.
5:03 p.m. — After being dispatched to a solo vehicle accident at 1301 Adobe Road, fire personnel transported the driver, a 27-year-old man from Petaluma, to the hospital for treatment.
10:59 p.m. — Petaluma fire officials assisted units from Rancho Adobe and Valley Ford on a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Mecham and Pepper roads. One of the occupants, a 32-year-old female from Petaluma, was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital's trauma center with significant injuries. The two other occupants were transferred to a hospital by American Medical Response.
Saturday, Nov. 9
6:37 a.m. — After driving his car off of Adobe Road, a 32-year-old man was transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital. The California Highway Patrol remained on scene to wait for the tow truck needed to pull the car out of the ditch.
1:40 p.m. — Fire officials responded to an accident at 2550 Spring Hill Road, where a 27-year-old man had rolled his car off the embankment. The driver was able to extricate himself from the car before emergency services arrived, but was transported to the trauma center at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital nonetheless.
4:07 p.m. — Within a matter of minutes, firefighters put out a grass fire along Highway 101.
Sunday, Nov. 10
4:41 a.m. — One man, a 19 year old from Marysville, was taken to Petaluma Valley Hospital following a minor accident on northbound Highway 101 at San Antonio Road.
