The Petaluma Fire Department received 39 medical and 78 fire or other emergency calls from April 29 through May 5. Here are some of the calls.
Wednesday, May 1
2:44 p.m. — Firefighters were called to 35 E. Washington St. for a report of an accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian. A young boy had been hit and was sitting in the roadway in the crosswalk. He was taken to the hospital.
Friday, May 3
4:43 p.m. — Firefighters went to 207 S. McDowell Blvd. for a report of a vehicle fire. The hood of a van was up in flames. They extinguished the fire. Cause was undetermined.
5:20 p.m. — Units rushed to 389 S. McDowell Blvd. to extinguish a dumpster fire in front of Comcast.
Saturday, May 4
10:31 a.m. — Responders headed to 6325 Bodega Ave. to the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Two people were taken to the hospital.
6:50 p.m. — Units rushed to 781 Baywood Drive to help with hazardous materials cleanup on a Winnabego motor home that had rolled down the boat launch at the marina and sunk.
