The northbound on-ramp from Petaluma Boulevard South to Highway 101 will be closed for approximately two months beginning July 8, Caltrans officials said today.

The closure will last until at least August 30, 2013. Officials said the closure is necessary to build northbound on and off-ramps for the new interchange, which in turn will help make way for the eventual widening of Highway 101.

During this time, drivers will be detoured north on Petaluma Boulevard South, then right on East D Street, then right on Lakeville Street to the northbound on-ramp of the Highway 101/State Route 116 Interchange.
